MP Tigran Abrahamyan of the “With Honor” Faction of the National Assembly wrote:
“The MFA of Artsakh made a rather harsh assessment of the operation carried out by Azerbaijan, considering it as a war.
By the way, on 1 March, after the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Artsakh delegations, the Artsakh presidency hastened to announce that “the meeting was apparently constructive”, meaninglessly clarifying Azerbaijan’s behavior.
Anyway, Azerbaijan’s aggression was manifested not only in the line of contact, but in diplomatic formulations, because with the statement related to this aggression, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan brought forward the topic of the placement of Azerbaijani checkpoints in the corridor connecting Armenia to Artsakh under fabricated, false qualifications.
Although there are no reports of serious skirmishes at the contact line at the moment, there are occasional firings.”
Earlier, the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs police informed:
“At around 10:00, on 5 March, a sabotage group of the Azerbaijani armed forces targeted and opened fire on the shift car of the police passport and visa department staff in the area called “Khaipalu”. The police of the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
“As a result of subversive infiltration, 3 police officers were killed.
Lieutenant Colonel: Armen Babayan
Major: Davit Danielyan
Lieutenant: Ararat Gasparyan.
Another serviceman, Lieutenant Davit Hovsepyan, received a gunshot wound in the chest and is in the Republican Medical Center.
At this difficult moment, the Ministry of Internal Affairs shares the grief of the loss of the dead policemen, expresses support to their family members,” the message states.
