Before the start of the work of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan proposed to honor the memory of the victims of 1 March, 2008 with a minute of silence.

Let us remind you that today is the 15th year of the memory of bloody events of March.

At dawn on 1 March, 2008, police attacked protesters staying overnight in Azatutyun Square, who were dissatisfied with the results of the presidential election.

Later on the same day, ten citizens of which two policemen were killed as a result of clashes between protesters and security forces in the area adjacent to Myasnikyan statue.
