In 2022, the Azerbaijani side blew up the only main gas pipeline from Armenia to Artsakh in the “Zarsli” section of Shushi region: Artsakhpress

On 8 March, 2022, the Azerbaijani side blew up the only main gas pipeline from Armenia to Artsakh Republic in the “Zarsli” section of the Shushi region and after some time repaired it, not allowing the employees of the “Artsakhgas” Company to participate in the repair work.

In a conversation with “Artsakhpress“, Samvel Sahakyan, the head of the Stepanakert production and operation site of the “Artsakhgas” CJSC Company, noted that after resuming the operation of the gas pipeline, it became clear that a valve was installed on it and a side connection was made, that is, gas theft is being carried out.

“Starting from December 2022, the gas supply of Artsakh Republic was disrupted by the enemy 8 times.

In addition, between gas supply blockages and restorations, several times the gas pipeline was blocked not completely, but by 50 percent, then the volume of gas supply became 70 percent, 10 percent, and so on.

Moreover, such actions were carried out several times a day or every few days.

In total, from 12 December, 2022 to 13 February of this year, about 27 such cases were registered,” our interlocutor said, expressing his belief that Azerbaijan is trying to create emergency
