The Supreme Judicial Council reports that as a result of the legislative changes that came into force on 7 January, additional opportunities to become a judge have been created.
In order to replenish the civil and administrative specialization sections of the list of candidates for judges, the SJC has announced a special qualification test. This will enable candidates, after passing the stages of the qualification test in a special order, to be included in the list of judicial candidates without having to undergo 6-8 months of training at the Academy of Justice.
The deadline for submission of documents required to participate in the qualification test is 14 February, 2023. For submission of applications, as well as additional information, call the Department of Justice the section of Matters Related to Judges and Candidates (tel: (010) 511-786, 511-816).
