During the NA-Government question-and-answer session held on 8 February, RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan, answering the question of “Civil Agreement” faction MP Khachatur Sukiasyan, stated: “Our main problem is that the seismic capacity of previously constructed buildings and subsequent studies do not match each other.”
According to the minister, certain legislative changes were made in both 2019 and 2020, and today the existing norms are taken into account in general construction.
According to Gnel Sanosyan, a large program is being implemented at the moment. Yerevan Municipality offers developers to implement the following plan: to demolish emergency buildings and build new ones in their place.
