According to Tigran Avinyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, the Polytechnic University was the largest university in Armenia during the USSR and prepared a large number of engineers. The Mayor is sure that the university can restore its name.

“The connection between employers and the education system is becoming much closer. We also understand what kind of staff employers need and we adapt our educational programs to the requirements of the labor market,” he said.

General Director of Team Telecom Armenia, Hayk Yesayan, referring to the graduate-university cooperation, noted that the continuity and development of the activities of many of the world’s leading educational institutions is ensured thanks to the support of their graduates.

“This is merely one such small step to thank the Polytechnic University for what it has given me both as an individual and as a professional. I am glad that thanks to the support of Team Telecom Armenia, students now have laboratories equipped with technical capabilities in accordance with modern requirements, and I hope that they will be used to their full extent,” he said.

Alexander Yesayan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Team Telecom Armenia, noted that it is a great honor for them to support the development of education in Armenia.

“Such programs will be continuous and the reforms that have started in the educational sector, particularly in the Polytechnic, are very welcome.

Business should take steps for the development of education within the framework of corporate social responsibility. The same business depends on the quality of education and we realize it. We will always be next to such programs,” Alexander Yesayan said.
