On 23 January, the founding meeting of the Disciplinary Commission of the RA Chamber of Advocates took place.

Before the beginning of the session, the President of the RA Chamber of Advocates, Simon Babayan, welcomed the participants. The President of the Chamber wished the colleagues efficient work for the benefit of the Advocacy Institute.

All members of the Committee were present at the meeting.

The agenda of the meeting included: election of the chairperson and secretary of the Committee.

Hunan Babayan, the eldest member of the Committee, chaired the first session of the Committee.

Tatevik Shaljyan was elected as the Chairperson of the Committee with the majority of votes.

The Head of Staff of the Chamber of Advocates proposed the candidacy of Chamber employee Nonna Hambardzumyan as Secretary of the Committee, which was unanimously accepted by the members of the Committee and Nonna Hambardzumyan was appointed Secretary of the Committee.

NoteThe Disciplinary Committee is a newly formed body within the Chamber of Advocates that will hear complaints about the disciplinary action of advocates and consider the issue of disciplinary action.
