Today, on 12 January, a court hearing in the case of the 3rd President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and others was scheduled at the Avan seat of the Yerevan Court of First Instance.

Judge Vahe Miskaryan’s office informed Iravaban.net that the session was postponed because one of the defendants had health problems, and the representative of one of the witnesses was not in the country and informed the court in advance.

Defendant Barsegh Beglaryan’s lawyer Nikolay Hakobyan told Iravaban.net that Gevorg Harutyunyan, the head of the Plant Breeding Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, who is involved in the case, had health problems, due to which it was not possible to hold the hearing.

We should also add that the defendants in the case Sergo Karapetyan and Samvel Galstyan have died on 18 February, 2021 and 10 January, 2021 respectively, as a result of the coronavirus.

The next session is scheduled for 26 January.
