You are already aware that yesterday the Supreme Judicial Council terminated the powers of judge Anna Pilosyan. Lawyer Arsen Babayan announced.
“The SJC applied such an inadequate type of penalty on the grounds that Anna Pilosyan delayed the publication of the judicial act for more than 1 year in only 4 cases during the examination of more than 5,000 cases.
It turns out that Naira Hovsepyan, a judge member of the Supreme Judicial Council, also voted in favor of that decision.
And now a little information about the state of the same violation in the case of that same Naira Hovsepyan:
Thus:
- In the case ED/7402/02/19, judge Naira Hovsepyan published the act on 19.06.2020, but to date, more than 2.5 years, she has not issued the judicial act.
- In the case ED/7515/02/19 – it is literally the same situation,
- ED/7275/02/19 – literally the same situation,
- ED/7319/02/19 – Judge Naira Hovsepyan published the act on 21.07.2020, but until today, 2.5 years later, she still has not issued the judicial act.
- In case ED/7483/02/19 – the same situation
- In case ED/9029/02/19, the situation is worse
I presented only 6 cases (there are several dozen of them) in which Naira Hovsepyan, a member of the Council, did the same (more serious) thing that was attributed to Anna Pilosyan, but Anna Pilosyan was released from the position of judge by the penalty given by Naira Hovsepyan’s vote, and Naira Hovsepyan continues to hold office.
I suggest to the Minister of Justice to take action and submit a corresponding motion to the SJC,” he wrote.
