The road to Lachin was blocked not by Azerbaijani protesters, but by Russian peacekeepers. Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Office, Hikmet Hajiyev, said during a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan and military attachés, Minval reports.

He announced that Vardanyan (State Minister of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan-ed.) will not be allowed to loot Azerbaijan’s natural resources and damage the environment.

He also stated that the illegal exploitation of natural resources in the specified territories of Azerbaijan should be stopped; the exploitation of all natural resources should be carried out on the basis of the legislation of Azerbaijan.
