The Department of Combating Crimes in the Field of Financial Credit and Intellectual Property of the General Department of the Criminal Police received information that mining was carried out without a permit in the pasture of the village of Sis, Ararat Marz.

In the course of verification operations, factual data was obtained that a limited liability company, without a special permit, extracted sand and gravel-like masses, totaling more than 2000 cubic meters, from the water-covered area of the village pasture.
According to the results of the inspection, the company did not pay the state fee for the acquisition of the permit, payment for the use of natural resources and value added tax, causing a total of 8 million 248 thousand drams damage to the legal interests of the state.
In addition, the fertile layer of the soil was damaged, the damage of which amounted to more than two million drams.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
