As we have already reported, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, signed a decree on 23 November, according to which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh, Davit Babayan, was dismissed.

Babayan wrote on his Facebook page.

“The changes of the Government are objective in nature. After all, a person cannot be in one position all his life. That is why it is important to be calm about everything, especially established and state officials. I continue my work, it does not in any way affect the work of the Foreign Ministry, my devotion, my spirit – do not think about it.

Any change should increase efficiency. I have always spoken about it, never talked behind anyone’s back. Yes, changes are needed, but it should be done in such a way that the main emphasis is placed on professionals and patriots.

At the moment, we have only one task: to save Artsakh.”

Notably, currently Davit Babayan holds the position of acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
