Aliyev made another sarcastic remark about the Armenian-French friendship yesterday. Expert on Azerbaijan issuesTatev Hayrapetyan made a note about this.

“He mentioned that Armenia and France call each other sisters, they can call each other brothers, but they call each other sisters. Aliyev, the “boy’s” role-player of the region, forgot that the capital of his dictatorial regime also has a sister, Bishkek. So thinking a little before speaking will not hinder the dictator of Baku,” she said.

On 21 November, Aliyev expressed the following opinion at the conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of the ruling “Yeni Azerbaijan” party:

“Recently, a dirty provocation against Azerbaijan was planned within the framework of the Francophonie organization, of which we are not a member, but for some reason Armenia is a member. The author of this provocation was France, the France that now sponsors Armenia. They call each other sisters. They could call each other brother, but for some reason they call each other sister.”
