By the order of Argishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Gor Abrahamyan has been appointed Press Secretary of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
Biography:
Gor Abrahamyan was born in on 13 July, 1979 in the village of Vahan, Gegharkunik region.
In 2000, he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Yerevan State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
In 2002, he graduated from Yerevan State University’s Faculty of Journalism, receiving a Master’s degree in Journalism.
2003 He graduated from Yerevan State University’s postgraduate studies at the same faculty.
Work activity
2000-2004 – “Azg” Daily, journalist-political commentator
2002-2017 – RA Civil Service Council: Press Secretary of the Council President
2004-2012 – a political commentator to a number of periodicals as
2009-2011 – cooperated with the analytical center “Mitk” as a sociologist, and in 2012-2016 with the non-governmental organization “Mandate” as an expert in monitoring the legislative activity of the political forces of the RA National Assembly
During 2010-2016, within the framework of various programs, was involved in the process of training civil servants and community servants as a trainer.
2017-2022 – RA Prosecutor’s Office: Advisor to the Prosecutor General
Since 2003, an assistant professor at the Chair of Press History and Theory of the Faculty of Journalism of Yerevan State University, then a lecturer at the Chair of New Media and Communication.
2003 – Defended a scientific dissertation, receiving PhD in Philology, majoring in “Journalism”. He has the scientific title of an associate professor.
He is the author of a number of scientific articles, one educational manual, and one scientific practical manual.
During his work, he was awarded with a number of departmental medals and other awards.
He is married and has one daughter.
