According to data confirmed and published by UNICEF, the 8 billionth person of the planet Earth was born in Martuni Maternity Hospital of Gegharkunik Marz (Province) of the Republic of Armenia.
As Arthur Hovhannisyan, the director of the Martuni Maternity Hospital of Gegharkunik, informed “Armenpress” that newborn is Arpi, the daughter of Karen Zakaryan and Ani Kocharyan, residents of Tsovinar village of Gegharkunik Marz, who is considered to be the 8 billionth person in the world, was born with a weight of 2 kilograms 900 grams, a height of 49 centimeters, in a completely healthy condition.
