I am here to do everything together with you so that Artsakh has victories: Ruben Vardanyan convened an extended consultation

Ruben Vardanyan, the Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh, today, on 9 November, convened an extended consultation with the participation of the leadership of the republic’s executive bodies, the Mayor of Stepanakert and the heads of administrative districts. The Government of Artsakh reported.

At the beginning, Ruben Vardanyan suggested the participants of the consultation to observe a minute of silence to honor the memory of the victims of the 44-day Artsakh War and all the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the Homeland.

“Two years ago, this day was very difficult for our people. Remembering and paying tribute to their memory, we must believe that our rebirth will happen. Our future is in our hands. I am here so that together with you we will do everything for Artsakh to have victories,” the Minister of State, opening the meeting said.

The first question on the agenda referred to the principles of organization of work between the Minister of State and the Republican Executive Bodies. Ruben Vardanyan singled out three principles: teamwork, transparency and professionalism. “I came not just to hold the position of Minister of State, but to work together with you in a crisis situation,” he emphasized. “Team work is important for me, and I am ready to work together with all of you on that principle. The second is transparency. We must do everything to ensure the transparency of our work, decisions made and implemented programs. Another important principle is professionalism. I’m sure you all have come a long way professionally.”

In this situation, the Minister of State distinguished the five main directions for Artsakh, to implementation of which should be aimed at the activities of the Government of the Republic of Artsakh:

  • Subjectivity of Artsakh,
  • Issues related to security,
  • Development of the economy, infrastructure,
  • Cultural, educational, social issues,
  • Increasing the efficiency of the work of the state administration system.

The Minister of State also introduced his newly appointed advisers and indicated their areas of coordination at this stage. Artak Beglaryan will deal with foreign political, social, and humanitarian issues, Grigori Martirosyan – infrastructure, Narine Aghabalyan – structural and organizational, Mesrop Arakelyan – financial, and Arman Hakobjanyan – operational issues.

The next item on the agenda was about preparations for the winter season and urgent issues. Hayk Khanumyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Artsakh, and Davit Sargsyan, the Mayor of Stepanakert, presented detailed information about the progress of the preparations and their organization.

The progress of the state program for meeting the housing needs of families affected by the war in 2020 was also presented to the consultation. Armen Mangasaryan, the Chairman of the Housing Affairs Committee of the Republic of Artsakh, reported on the current state of the work and programs.

Summarizing the meeting, the Minister of State gave a number of instructions on the issues on the agenda and expressed confidence that organized and professional teamwork will provide great results.
