On 9 November, at 09:04, the regional crisis management center of Syunik received information that an accident occurred on the 17th km section of the Sisian-Yerevan highway: there are victims. The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that one combat unit from the fire-rescue squad of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations left to the scene of the incident.

It was found that “VAZ-2106” (driver: A.H., born in 1967) and “VAZ-2107” cars collided, as a result of which A.H. was blocked.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the victims of the “VAZ-2106” car S. G. (born in 1983), L.S. (born in 1983), G. N. (born in 1987), R. A. (born in 1986), T. A. (born in 1994) and victims of “VAZ-2107” car R. T. (born in 1992), S. A. (born in 1963) were transferred to the medical center of Sisian city by local forces. Doctors assessed the health condition of the victims as satisfactory.

The rescuers took the driver of the “VAZ-2106” car out of the blockade.

The Ministry of Health informs that 8 citizens were injured as a result of the accident on the Yerevan-Sisian highway. 5 of them are under the supervision of the regional medical center. Doctors assess the health condition of the victims as moderate.

The other 3 victims of the accident were taken to the capital’s medical centers. The condition of one of them is assessed as extremely serious and the transfer was carried out by the Air Ambulance Service.
