Russian partners have stated that, in their opinion, the correct approach would be to postpone the issue of the status of Nagorno Karabakh indefinitely.

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today, on 2 November, during the discussion of the Draft State Budget for 2023 in the National Assembly.

He also mentioned how it was justified. “It is based on the fact that at the moment there is objectively no possibility to find a status that will be mutually acceptable, moreover, it should be said that it is not a new situation, but in any case,” he said.

Nikol Pashinyan also mentioned that during the trilateral meeting of the heads of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan held in Sochi on 31 October, the his proposal regarding the extension of the presence of peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh was not accepted. “I have to record that in my opinion, the issue became an agenda item.”
