Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan makes a speech at the joint session of the standing committees of the National Assembly to discuss the draft state budget for 2023.
He mentioned that an important occurrence took place this year in terms of the economic image of Armenia. “Armenia ranked 11th among 100 countries in the index of economic freedom, actually improving its situation drastically.”
According to the Prime Minister, when this indicator was published, the oppositionists “to put it mildly, mysteriously smiled and grinned.” According to him, the explanation of the opposition was that Armenia ranked 11th, because many countries simply dethroned and declined under the conditions of bad management of the Covid pandemic. “It turns out that countries much more developed than ours have managed the pandemic so badly that their economic ranking and environment have either collapsed or fell down,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
He also added that this means that the Covid-19 epidemic was managed so well that Armenia’s results were not fallen, but, on the contrary, serious progress was ensured in terms of economic development.
