The bilateral meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin has started in Sochi.
The meeting is taking place at the “Rus” sanatorium in Sochi, where Putin traditionally welcomes foreign guests. RIA Novosti writes.
Today, on 31 October, at the same place, in “Rus”, a tripartite Russia-Armenia-Azerbaijan summit is planned, at which the heads of states will discuss the settlement of the situation in Karabakh. At the summit, the parties may come to the adoption of a document that will be the basis for a future peace treaty.
It is possible that the parties will also address the issue of extending the mandate of Russian peacekeepers for 10-20 years. Speaking about the prospect of signing this document, Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the Russian President, did not go ahead and suggested waiting for negotiations.
As we have already informed, a tripartite meeting of the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan is also planned.
