According to the 17 October decree of RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Judge Mesrop Makyan was appointed a Separate Judge in the RA Criminal Court of Appeals to review judicial acts subject to appeal in cases of corruption crimes.
It should be noted that since 2013, Mesrop Makyan has been a judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of the Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan.

Mesrop Makyan was born in 1971 in Yerevan.
Education:
From 1992 to 1997 – studied at YSU Faculty of Law.
Work experience
From 1999 to 2003, he worked in the service of ensuring enforcement of judicial acts of the RA Ministry of Justice as an enforcer, senior enforcer, and chief consultant of the staff-inspection department.
From 2003 to 2004, he worked at the Armenian-Swiss charity fund “Diakonia” as a legal consultant.
From 2004 to 2008, he worked as a judge of the First Instance Court of Gegharkunik Marz, of the RA.
From 2008 to 2009, he worked as a judge of the Northern Criminal Court of the RA.
From 2009 to 2013 worked as a judge of the Court of First Instance of Kotayk Marz, of the RA.
In 2009, he was elected a member of the RA Justice Council by the RA General Assembly of Judges.
In 2013, by the decree of the RA President, he was appointed as a judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of the Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan.
According to RA NA Law No. HO-34-N of 21 December, 2017, he continues to serve as a judge of the General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan.
From 27 July, 2018 to 11 July, 2019, he was a member of the Disciplinary Commission of the General Assembly of Judges of the Republic of Armenia.
On 11 July, 2019, he was elected a member of the Supreme Judicial Council by the General Assembly of Judges of the Republic of Armenia for a term of 5 years.
