Due to the border tension, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has switched to an enhanced mode of service. The RA Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
On 13 September, from 00:14, the National Crisis Management Center and Regional Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received neumerous alerts regarding the military operations carried out by the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the direction of the southeastern part of the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
Due to the tension on the border, according to Minister of Emergency Situations Pambukhchyan’s order, the regional rescue departments of Gegharkunik, Syunik and Vayots Dzor regional rescue departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were put on high alert to respond in case of need.
The rescue service has switched to enhanced mode service.
From 01:04 to 01:40, 7 horns were activated in Gegharkunik region, 2 of which were in Vardenis town, 5 in Shatvan, Jaghatsadzor, Geghamabak, Shatdjrek and Akunk villages.
At 01:49, an alarm was received that a fire broke out near the military unit of Jermuk, Vayots Dzor marz. The fire was extinguished by the fire-rescue squad of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. A grass cover was burned.
5 servicemen of the military unit No. N of the Ministry of Defense were taken to the territory of the fire-rescue squad by the fire-rescuers, and then to the corresponding medical center.
At 01:46 an alarm was received that a fire broke out in one of the houses of Akner village of Syunik region. The fire was extinguished by the fire-rescue teams of the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The wooden structures of the roof of the house (about 75 square meters) were burnt.
At 08:24, an alarm was received that a fire broke out near the address No. 20 of Shahumyan Street, Jermuk city, Vayots Dzor marz. The fire was extinguished by the fire-rescue squad of the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. About 10 square meters of turf and one tree stump were burned.
At 08:53, an alarm was received that a shell fell and damaged one of the houses in the village of Verishen, Syunik region, as a result of the bombing. Firefighters were on duty on the spot.
Sotk, Lusakunk of Gegharkunik marz, Jermuk city of Vayots Dzor marz and 21 settlements of Syunik marz, namely: Nerkin Hand, Tsav, Srashen, Syunik, Yeghvard, Agarak, Chakatken, Shikahogh, Davit Bek, Uzhanis, Vardavank, Kaghnut, Tegh Khndzoresk, Nerkin Khndzoresk, Karashen, Aravus, Akner, Verishen, Khnatsakh and Ishkhanasar settlements were the targets of shelling,.
