On 18 August, Azerbaijan applied to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), requesting that Armenia immediately and unconditionally oblige the forces and structures under its control to stop the destruction of property in the town of Berdzor and surrounding villages, including the burning of houses, and to provide information on the measures taken.
The office of the representative of the Republic of Armenia on International Legal Affairs reported.
On 22 August, the ECtHR rejected Azerbaijan’s application and noted that there is no need to apply a new interim measure.
