“We inform you that Gagik Jhangiryan, Acting President of the Supreme Judicial Council, has resigned from the position of a member of the Supreme Judicial Council due to health problems.”

Notably on 27 June, during the election of the candidate for the judge of the Administrative Chamber of the Court of Cassation in the National Assembly, Davit Khachaturyan, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, said: “Gagik Jhangiryan is going to undergo a surgery now or is already undergoing it at this moment. Due to these health problems, I will replace him. It was not known until this moment whether he will undergo surgery or not. At least I will perform his duties temporarily.”
