The Supreme Judicial Council held an investigation into the issue of disciplinary action against Judge Armen Danielyan of the Criminal Court of Appeal. The petition was submitted by the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee.
The Supreme Judicial Council reported. A judge is charged with a violation of the norm provided for in Article 142, Part 1, Clause 1 of the Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia, ie obvious and gross violation of provisions of substantive or procedural law while administering justice or exercising – as a court – other powers provided for by law.
After hearing the positions of the parties and announcing the end of the investigation, the council left to the deliberation room to make a decision.
