President Vahagn Khachaturian sent a congratulatory message to Russian President Vladimir Putin

The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturian sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Russia. The message of President Khachaturian reads, in particular:

“In the centuries-old history of the Armenian-Russian relations of friendship, brotherhood and mutual support, this significant event opened a qualitatively new stage, laid the foundation for the allied strategic partnership between Armenia and Russia, covering all areas of interstate cooperation.

The established solid legal framework is based on the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, the 25th anniversary of the signing of which we will celebrate in August this year, and the Declaration on Allied Interaction Oriented to the 21st Century.

Today, the Armenian-Russian strategic cooperation is distinguished by dialogue at all levels, effective interaction in the military-technical, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres. In an interested manner, our countries interact within the framework of the EAEU, the CSTO, the CIS and other multilateral associations.

We highly appreciate the contribution of the Russian Federation to the achievement of a ceasefire in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the mediation efforts of the Russian side, including within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, aimed at achieving a political and diplomatic settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
