The Ombudsman’s rapid response group is on the way to Nerkin Hand

“At the moment, our rapid response group is on its way to Nerkin Hand to get acquainted on the spot and study the situation. The group has a goal, a task to understand what the problems are related to the life, conditions and security of the residents? During this time we were also in touch with the Ministry of Defense. As a result of these studies, it is natural that we will publish our findings,” Human Rights Defender Kristinne Grigoryan told reporters today, on 17 March, at a briefing after the Government session.

She mentioned that she plans to visit Syunik in early April.

“During this period, we are conducting more specific research on the content of the visit and targeting. I am collecting information from our base unit,” the Ombudsman said.

Earlier, former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan wrote on his Facebook page that about two weeks ago, the Azerbaijani armed forces quietly invaded up to 1 km and settled in the area of the village of Nerkin Hand, Kapan community, including setting up tents. It is about a former village located in the administrative area of ​​Nerkin Hand.
