By refusing to close the skies of Ukraine, the NATO leadership gave the green light for the bombing of Ukrainian towns and villages.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated in his video message.
“Did we want such a NATO?” Did you build such an Alliance? Today, the leadership of the alliance gave the green light to the further bombing of Ukrainian cities and villages, refusing to define a no-fly zone. You could have closed the skies, but: I do not know who you can defend, whether you are capable of defending your member states. You cannot buy us liters of fuel for the liters of blood we shed for our common Europe, our common future and freedom,” he said.
Zelensky called the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels weak and confused.
It should be reminded that in the early morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a message announcing the decision to launch a special military operation in Donbas.
“Circumstances require us to take decisive and immediate action. The Donbas People’s Republics have appealed to Russia. I have decided to launch a special military operation in this regard,” Putin said in a televised address to Russian citizens.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that from 5:00 am (7:00 am Yerevan time) on Thursday, the Russian Armed Forces carried out intensive attacks on Ukrainian military facilities and airports.
The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
