At the 3 March sitting of the government Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the issue of the increase of gas price.

“Since last year, the calorific value of gas supplied to Armenia has changed, it has increased. And in Armenia, for the same cubic meter of gas consumed during the previous year, more calories were received, that is, the heat supply has increased. In fact, more calories were used, but no payment was required,” the Prime Minister said.

Nikol Pashinyan also emphasized that the price of 1000 cubic meters of gas in Europe has reached 2400 US dollars, against the background of which the sensitivity towards the gas market is increasing.
