Vahagn Khachaturyan was not elected President of the Republic of Armenia in the first round.
69 deputies participated in the RA presidential election with 69 votes in favor, 0 against. There were no invalid ballots.
“If the President of the Republic is not elected in the first round, then the second round of elections is held, in which all the candidates who participated in the first round can take part,” Hakob Arshakyan, acting NA President said.
It should be added that 81 votes were needed to be elected President. In the case of a second round presidential election, 64 votes will be needed.
