The Shirak Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigation Committee is taking necessary investigative and judicial as well as other actions to reveal the murder of a 34-year-old man in Gyumri yesterday.
The Investigative Committee informed.
According to preliminary information, on 27 February, 2022 at 01:15 am, a call was received from Gyumri Medical Center that a resident of Gyumri, born in 1987, was taken to them from Atarbekyan Street with the diagnosis of “cut and puncture injuries, biological death.”
As a result of the urgent measures taken, the scene was found, during which the examination revealed bloody traces, a hat, a cigarette butt, and the examination of the body revealed cut-puncture injuries in the left frontal head, back, lumbar, upper right seat and in front of the right thigh.
A criminal case has been initiated on the fact, according to Article 104, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
Forensic examination of the body was ordered to find out the nature, severity, mechanism of occurrence of the victim’s bodily injuries. The clothes worn by the victim at the time of the incident were confiscated, samples were taken, the video recordings of the video cameras at the scene were confiscated, and were examined.
The investigation is underway.
Measures are taken to find out the identity(s) of the person (persons) who committed the crime and to present to the body conducting the proceedings.
An instruction was given to the investigative body.
Note. A person suspected or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the RA Criminal Procedure Code by a court judgment that has entered into force.
