Bed linen is changed every day, the patient is constantly in the view of the nurse or paramedic: National Center for Infectious Diseases

The most difficult and responsible work in hospitals is in the intensive care unit. Among the patients lying in this ward are unconscious or with weak consciousness patients who often undergo artificial lung ventilation.

According to the National Center for Infectious Diseases, these patients, due to their extremely helpless condition, need not only intensive treatment, but also more careful and thorough care.

“In addition to medical treatment, special attention is paid to patients’ hygiene in the infectious resuscitation and intensive care unit of our center. Every day from 12:00 to 16:00 the junior medical staff wipes the whole body and face of the patient with wet wipes, thorough oral hygiene is performed. In case of drainage, intubation hoses, etc., the receivers are emptied and the bandages are changed. Bed linen is changed every day after hygienic measures.

“The patient is constantly in the field of vision of the nurse or paramedic, under close supervision,” the National Center for Infectious Diseases informed.
