In the framework of the fight against economic crimes, as a result of numerous operative-investigative measures taken by the RA SRC Inquiry and Operations Search Departments, as well as other criminal proceedings, it was found out that a group of persons established companies through which actually imported from EEU member states and Russia, a large amount of clothes, shoes, and telephone accessories belonging to other economic entities. It turned out that during that time the companies avoided paying particularly large taxes of about 1.5 billion drams, in connection with which criminal cases were initiated.

The State Revenue Committee reported.

One of the companies actually owned by the above-mentioned persons namely, “Respect Right” LLC, in October-December 2021, imported clothes with an invoice value of about 700 million AMD by air to the territory of the Republic of Armenia, but did not mention any sales, hiding the beneficial owners of the imported clothes. At the same time, by mentioning obviously false information in declarations on import tax submitted to the tax authority, maliciously avoided paying about 122 million AMD of import VAT.
