The “Armenia” and “With Honor” Factions of the National Assembly continue discussions on the issue of nominating or not nominating a presidential candidate.

“I cannot say about the decision yet, but the discussions are continuing.

To the question whether there were discussions on that issue with the “With Honor” Faction, Manukyan answered that there were no official discussions yet.

Secretary of the “With Honor” Faction Hayk Mamijanyan said that the faction does not have enough deputies to nominate a single presidential candidate, but at the moment they are holding consultations with the “Armenia” Faction.

“We will definitely inform about the results,” Mamijanyan said.

The “Civil Contract” Faction will nominate Vahagn Khachaturyan for the post of president. At present Alen Simonyan has assumed the powers of the President of the Republic.
