Advocate Arsen Sardaryan wrote on his Facebook page:
“The motion to impose detention on Judge Boris Bakhshiyan of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Syunik Region was assigned to Judge Arghamanyan.
“We were informed by the judge’s staff that the hearing will take place tomorrow, the time will be announced in the morning, after which I will write additionally,” he wrote.
It should be noted that the Prosecutor General had submitted a motion to SJC to prosecute Boris Bakhshiyan and consent to his deprivation of liberty, which was upheld by the Council.
Earlier, in a conversation with Iravaban.net , Gor Abrahamyan, Adviser to the Prosecutor General, stated that the motion to prosecute Judge Boris Bakhshiyan had nothing to do with Ashot Minasyan’s case.
It should be reminded that the criminal case related to Ashot Minasyan (Ashot Yerkat) is under consideration by Judge Boris Bakhshiyan, in the preparatory stage of which the judge changed the measure of restraint of the commander, released him from detention, considering the use of bail against him permissible.
