The Foreign Ministry also noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and most of the CIS countries, including Azerbaijan and Armenia. “We are preparing a series of jubilee events with each country. The Foreign Ministry said that Moscow urges to begin work on the delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan as soon as possible. “We are consistently making efforts to resolve the situation on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, where, unfortunately, incidents with the use of weapons occur from time to time, there are human casualties. It is necessary to form and launch the work of a bilateral commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border as soon as possible. We are ready to provide advisory assistance to Baku and Yerevan in this process,” the ministry stressed.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also added that Russia is actively involved in the issue of the return of prisoners of war as well.
