The Government approved the release of Ararat Governor Razmik Tevonyan and the appointment of Sedrak Tevonyan in his place.
On 4 January, Sedrak Tevonyan submitted an application to the NA Speaker to resign from the deputy mandate. He was elected a deputy by the proportional list of the “Civil Contract” Party.
Razmik Tevonyan was appointed to this position on 10 December, 2020. The latter is the father of the newly appointed governor Sedrak Tevonyan.

Razmik Tevonyan was born on 16 February, 1990 in the village of Aralez in Ararat Marz.
2011 – Graduated from the Faculty of Technology of Fermentation and Winemaking of the State Agrarian University of Armenia, receiving a bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology in the specialty “Technology of Fermentation and Winemaking.”
Since 2011 – Engaged in the family business in the area of winemaking and gardening.
December, 2018 – Elected Member of the National Assembly from the territorial electoral list of the electoral district #5 of the “My Step” alliance of parties.
Married, with a child.
