On 11 January, Arthur Artyom Mkhitaryan (born in 2002) and Junior Sergeant Rudik Rafik Gharibyan (born in 2002) were killed as a result of a provocation carried out by Azerbaijani units in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The Ministry of Defense reported.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the grief of the loss; expresses support to the family members, relatives and colleagues of the killed servicemen.
Two more servicemen are wounded, their lives are not in danger.
As of 21:00, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable.
As we reported earlier today at around 15:15, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the Armenian military positions located in the Verin Shorzha section of Gegharkunik region, as a result of which one serviceman received a moderate gunshot wound.
At around 5:30 pm, Azerbaijani armed forces used artillery and drones.
As of 18:30, the Ministry of Defense reported about three wounded on the Armenian side.
It should be noted that earlier the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported the death of its serviceman Ayaz Nazarov Azer oglu, allegedly due to the shooting of the RA Armed Forces.
