Today, on 4 January, the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security convened a special sitting on the issue of electing the Deputy Chairman of the Committee.

The Chairman of the Committee Andranik Kocharyan said that the right to nominate a candidate passed to the ruling faction, but the faction did not nominate a candidate.

Kocharyan closed the sitting, noting that this was the only issue on the agenda. 4 deputies participated in the sitting together with Andranik Kocharyan, it lasted 1 minute.

Notably the “Hayastan” NA faction had nominated Arthur Ghazinyan for the mentioned position 14 times, but the latter was not elected, and the opposition faction refused to nominate another candidate.
