The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia has submitted to the Government of the Republic of Armenia the edited version of the Draft Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Higher Education and Science”.

The RA Minister of Education and Science Vahram Dumanyan said this at the 28 December meeting with journalists.

“If you remember, some provisions of the law were declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court. But now the new, edited law has been circulated, submitted to the RA Government, and will soon be presented in the National Assembly. I hope there will be no problems with the edited law,” the minister stressed.

According to him, in the new version, the Governing Board of the Universities will consist of 12 people. 50% from the authorized founder and 50% from the university, which will include representatives of the professorial staff and students.
