The President of the Constitutional Court congratulated the newly elected President of the Venice Commission

The President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) Claire Bazy Malaurie, who was elected to this position on 10 December this year, during the 129th plenary session of the Venice Commission.

The Press Service of the Constitutional Court reported.

The congratulatory message, in particular, reads:

On behalf of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, I warmly congratulate you on your election as President of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission). I express the full support of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia in the successful implementation of your high mission. Taking this opportunity, I reaffirm our effective partnership with the Venice Commission and our sincere commitment to continue traditionally strong ties. In this context, I kindly invite you and look forward to hosting you on an official visit to Armenia in the near future.”

Claire Bazy Malaurie, member of the Constitutional Council of France since 2010, has been elected President of the Venice Commission, for two-year term, and she will be eligible for re-election in 2023.
