Rector of Yerevan State Medical University Armen Muradyan appeals to citizens:

“According to official information, we have 62 deaths from Covid 19 in Armenia today ․․․

I appeal to all the people who trust and believe in me, believe me, any of our not unified steps complicates this already difficult situation.

Dear citizens, we have no alternative, in the current situation we are all obliged to overcome this catastrophe that has befallen on the World including to us together.

And so, let us:

• follow the instructions of the relevant authorities calmly and without panic,
• follow, be guided, take note of only reliable professional information,
• regardless of views, opinions, disagreements, unite around the state authorized body , follow only the appeals of medical staff.

I assure you that our doctors, nurses, matrons are fulfilling their duty, I am sure that this time, thanks to the efforts of our medical staff, we will overcome this catastrophe that has befallen us.

I know that our medical staff is knowledgeable about their work, they have overcome many difficult trials in their professional way.

I would like to once again express my special thanks to our Medical Workers, who always do their duty unconditionally.… Long live you!

Let me inform you that about 146 citizens are currently receiving treatment in the Covid department of “Mikayelyan” University Hospital ․

• 28 citizens are in extremely serious condition,
• 48 citizens are in serious condition.

I should add that out of 76 citizens in a serious and extremely serious condition, we have only 1 citizen who has been vaccinated.”
