Value and weight of goods a person can import for personal use without customs duties and taxes

A relief is in place for importation – to Eurasian Economic Union’s customs territory – of goods for personal use by freight forwarders or through international postal deliveries.

The Information and Public Relations Department of the State Revenue Committee reported.

Pursuant to Eurasian Economic Commission’s resolution No 107 of December 20, 2017 on Individual Issues concerning Goods of Personal Use, no customs duties or taxes are charged when importing goods for personal use if the value of such goods does not exceed 200 euros, and the weight does not exceed 31 kg.

In case value or weight are exceeded, 15 percent of the extra value will be charged, but not less than 2 euros per each extra kilogram.

EEC’s another resolution sets a list of prohibited goods when importing goods for personal use via international postal deliveries. Prohibited goods include drugs and psychotropic substances, fake or counterfeit goods, items posing hazard to postal employees, spoiling or damaging postal equipment, hazardous goods, radioactive substances, explosives, weaponry, coins and banknotes, as well as animals.
