NA “Armenia” Faction proposes to leave January 2 and 7 as non-working as well

The opposition “Armenia” faction of the National Assembly proposes to reconsider the draft of reducing the number of non-working days during the New Year holidays and to leave as non-working days 2 and 7 January. The deputy of the faction Aram Vardevanyan said this during the discussion of the draft law.

“One of the meanings of this draft in fact is that we really have to work hard. Obviously, we have to work hard. But it is not that the Armenian people are not hardworking people, now it is necessary to give such a signal. It is another matter that the state and political officials should work much harder. One of the proposals we discussed at the committee meeting was to envisage a certain transition period. “First of all, let the law enter into force immediately for ministers, prime ministers, deputy prime ministers, MPs, deputy ministers,” Vardevanyan said.

According to the draft authored by the government, it is proposed to set non-working days for the New Year holidays only on 31 December, and January 1 and 6.

“We will submit a proposal by our faction suggesting that 2 and 7 January are non-working days as well,” the deputy said.
