It should be reminded that Armenian statesman, Minister of Internal Affairs of the 3rd Republic, former Mayor of Yerevan, writer, publicist Vano Siradeghyan died on 15 October, according to his son Khachatur Siradeghyan and wife Ruzan Tonoyan.

The government informed that a governmental commission will be set up to organize his funeral. It is noted that all issues related to the funeral will be discussed in the commission. Details will be announced after the dates of Siradeghyan’s memorial service and burial are clear.

Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s spokesman Arman Musinyan told Iravaban.net that Vano Siradeghyan’s body will be transferred to Armenia. “It is not clear yet when. As soon as we know the information, we will inform the public,” he said.

The Armenian National Congress called on the government to bury Siradeghyan in the Komitas Pantheon.
