On 29 September, the RA Foreign Minister received the  Mr. Thierry Ribo, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation to Armenia..

During the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on the work done by the “ICRC-Armenia” organization to cooperate in addressing the humanitarian issues created in Artsakh.

The RA Foreign Minister stressed the need for the immediate and unconditional repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war, civilian hostages being held in Azerbaijan.

It was stressed that Azerbaijan denies the fact that a large number of documented prisoners of war are being held hostage, which creates serious grounds for suspicion of serious crimes committed by Azerbaijan against the captives, including the forcible disappearance.

Ararat Mirzoyan also noted that artificial obstacles should not be created by international organizations for the implementation of the humanitarian mission in Artsakh and the issue should not be politicized.
