Today, on 24 September, the National Assembly convened a special sitting on the initiative of the Government. The agenda includes amendments and additions to the Law on Administrative Territorial Division of the Republic of Armenia and amendments to the Law on Anti-Corruption Committee.

Artsvik Minasyan, a member of the “Armenia” Faction, made a speech on the issue of enlarging the communities.

“An issue has been brought to the agenda, which in our estimation does not correspond to the requirements of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and the decision of the Constitutional Court, we consider it a clear crime, and the issues discussed within it should not be legal.” he said.

Artsvik Minasyan noted that they will follow the further legal process of the issue, will demand from the President to challenge the issue according to the relevant procedure.

“The Armenian authorities do not understand the priorities. It is already the 12th day that we have demanded a direct discussion with the Director of the National Security Service, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense and other high-ranking officials. Meanwhile, we see what tense days are coming. Not only the flirtations with Erdogan, but also Aliyev’s recent statements clearly indicate that we are dealing with security issues that are a priority for our country. Based on all this, the “Armenia” Faction does not participate in these illegalities,” Artsvik Minasyan said, leaving the session hall.
