The deputy of the National Assembly of the 7th convocation Taron Simonyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“Finally, the lawsuit filed by the Republic of Armenia against the Republic of Azerbaijan was filed with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) based on the facts of violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD).”

The Facebook page of the RA representative in the ECHR also writes:

“Today, the Republic of Armenia has filed a complaint with the UN International Court of Justice against Azerbaijan for violating the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination.

At the same time, Armenia has asked the court to apply a number of urgent measures, including the closure of the trophy park, the return of prisoners of war and detained civilians.”
