The newly elected Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates Simon Babayan issued a statement stating,

You have chosen the way of preserving and developing the achievements of the institute. The advocates’ community made its choice, proving that it is guided by the principles of independence and self-government.

I will do my best to solve the problems.

The guarantee of the development of the advocacy institute is independence and unity,” he wrote.

It should be reminded that on September 12, 12 September, 2021, the RA Chamber of Advocates elected the Chairman of the RA Chamber of Advocates.

1111 lawyers took part in the voting.

According to the results of the voting, 937 lawyers voted for Simon Babayan, and 144 lawyers voted for Gevorg Gyozalyan. 30 ballots were declared invalid.

By the decision of the Counting Commission of the RA Chamber of Advocates on 12.09.2021, Simon Albert Babayan was considered elected Chairman of the RA Chamber of Advocates for a term of four years with 937 votes in favor from a total of 1111 advocates (84.3%) that participated in the voting.

The term of office of the new Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia will start on 5 October, 2021.
