In response to article entitled “1 billion 75 million drams, not for positions, but for good building conditions of the Ministry of Defense ” published in “168 Zham”, which states that “Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan considered the improvement of the building conditions of the Ministry of Defense urgent and not for example, the furnishing of unfurnished positions, and thus, in order to work in good building conditions, a project of 1 billion 75 million drams (1,075,322.7 thousand drams) has been submitted to the approval of the Government, we inform that the mentioned information does not correspond to the reality.
The Ministry of reported Defense.
The media outlet quotes only the title of the budget line, under which, however, there are a number of sub-lines, which mainly refer to capital purchases, in particular, the acquisition of armaments and equipment. In other words, the assertion of the media not only does not correspond to the reality, but, in fact, the diametrically opposite happens. The Ministry of Defense reduces a number of expenses, redistributes the budget, and makes purchases at the expense of those sums, which are aimed at strengthening the army’s combat effectiveness.
Improvement of the building conditions of the Ministry of Defense is not carried out and in addition is not planned either.
We once again call not to publish unverified information, which damages the reputation of the RA Armed Forces.
